I visited: Twisted Crepe, a creperie in downtown Asheville, N.C., featuring breakfast, savory and sweet crepes, with the option to pick your own fillings. Options include cheese, meats, vegetables, fruits, sauces, seasonings and more. Prosciutto, mozzarella and pesto, anyone?
I tried: the Reeses cup crepe, which was filled with peanut butter and Nutella, drizzled with chocolate, sprinkled with confectioners sugar and accompanied by a few dollops of whipped cream.
Why it stood out: Umm. It’s a Reeses cup crepe. What more could you want? The Nutella, peanut butter and chocolate fillings combined for a melt-in-your-mouth quality very reminiscent of the popular peanut butter cups. Plus, the crepe was cooked expertly — evenly golden and slightly spongy.
It cost: $4.99
